If i'd read some of the comments about Ian from Godspeed brakes on here I would have never considered using him, but unfortunately at the end of July i sent £600 to him for a set of 4pot calipers and 300mm discs.

I have had so many excuses and have lost count the number of times i have phoned, left messages and emailed him. Initially the excuse was that they had been sent and were simply 'lost in the mail' although he could provide me with no tracking number, now my 'second set' is being made up for me and he has been promising to send this for around 2 weeks, but everyday i ring up he's 'just finishing them'.

The last few days when I have rang all i get is the answer phone.

I'm so angry at the stupid Welsh FU*K.. the only problem is I'm in Lincolnshire and its a hell of a drive to go and pick them up myself or demand my money back.

Has anyone been through similar problems with him recently or got any advice as to what I should do?

 

Fortunately i heard the rumours when i was looking for new discs for my car...they were Godspeed.....after people telling me the bloke is a total cock..i went another route thank GOD

 

how did you pay him mate?

 

direct bank transfer to his account, still got details of it etc. so it can be proven.

well not really i did get a set but off spadge

but before that i was trying to get some braided hoses, and some other stuff and he told me he had sent the lot over but didnt got anything so he said he sended the lot again but still nothing where he was convinced he sended everything over ... gladly he 'sended' it and i would pay as soon as it got here so no money loss

 

i see.. well i'll be paying him a visit soon.. knowing my luck though he wont be there.

Who was the other guy on here who had been waiting about 12 months for a front brake set up? I forget his name now, did he ever get his brakes?

 

I sent him £600 and a set of 2wd cosworth callipers and never got the goods.
This was around 7 years ago.

 

i never had any problem with his kit on the rs turbo i had, although i can not say the same for the cossie ....

thats really shocking, unbelievable that he is still running a business working like this!

 

oh come on,,,, he waited over a year adn had all that hassle for his front brakes and then when it was sorted he used him for the rears,,,,, dont take this the wrong way but he must be mental

When i wanted brakes through zoo motorsport, Brom went through godspeed and never got anything from him the bloke keeped on letting him down. Apparently godspeed was saying the same thing that they are in the post or will defo be there on this day or that but guess what never turned up.

 

Hmmm i don't know whether to go to godspeed or hi-spec for my next brakes

I'm only 30 mins away and he pissed me about for 3 weeks and i think i only got them in the end coz i was down there all the time pestering him.

I can show you where he is if you decide to call on him.

...its comical really that they continue to get away with it People have problems but dont do anything about it like SECS...why not go round to his property?

 

Call the local hedlu (police station) and ask to speak with seargent dwyer if he is still in the force and explain the problems your having.

 

Lets just hope you dont have to send anything back under warranty
