I had a fun day at court with this one today.
His front seat passenger at the time was a disqualified driver!
He(the passenger) had already pleaded to dangerous driving and got six months.
The driver was ,quite rightly, found guilty of dangerous driving and will be sentenced in a couple of weeks.

IF i have a turbotimer on my car, and use it when i get home (for the 2 mins for the turbo to cool down) am I breaking the law?
p.s. Get these people off the roads

Excuse my ignorance here, does the timer just keep the turbo spinning?
Or is your engine running.
If the latter then you committ an offence of quitting,(I assume that there will be no one in your car ).
BUT, there is a stated case where a distance is mentioned, ie, how far from the car the driver is 'allowed' to be. Damned if I can remember it though.
Of course, if you leave your car on private land(your driveway), then no worries at all.
