Default Any taxi (Hackney carriage) drivers on here?

Sitting my first test (theory) next week for the Derby licence.

Been doing about an hours work a nite looking thu map books and A-Z's but its really hard to remember everything, then its the driving test after....

Any help or advice from any drivers? anyway to help with remembering stuff?

I'm going to be a bit un-PC here.

But if the bloody imigrants who drive taxis round my way, and drive like fucking arseholes, running red lights, speeding, ignoring pedestrian crossings and the like, can obtain a licence, without speaking a word of english (apart from the obligitory Social Security and Giro mutterings) then you will be spot on

if it was london then it would be easy
i was told to remember where all the tube stations were and after that it was a walk in the park

the other thing is to find a few bus routes that go through the most popular parts of the world and look at the bus stop signage
if they are anything like london signs they will have a street name on them and a direction of travel for the bus (or even a proper bus map of the areas it covers)
don't know about it being the same out in the wildnerness whereever you may be though, but thats the best place to start

Looking at the test god only knows how some people pass, its quite hard really!
