it's always a risk on track
but everyone knows this before they go out on track , it the chance you take, i do feel for them as it's not cheap to repair the car

your own insurance is void if you do anything on track unless you are insured with the rsoc and then it has to be a rsoc organised event like national day ,you can buy insurance for the day not to sure how much it is ,but as marco says you take a chance .
