At the time of doing our PADI which we did in Mexico the lass I was seing at the time was right in to her photograph etc, Ive only got a few pics but here they are, sorry about the quality as some were taken on a night dive, and all taken using an SLR rather than Digital Camera.

Pugo - i know the shop u mean dude
We also see a few Octopus's.......but by the time we found some all my film was used up
When we were packing the gear back up my intructor was saying that if u try and pull the octapus's out from their holes it don't work...he says the best way is to keep pushing them into the hole then after a while they will exit of their own accord! Did see one wasn't that big but was the 1st time i've ever seen one!
I went diving on 3 seperate occasions...1st time was with some newbies...didn't really mind.. 2nd+3rd was to Green bay (in pictures) I indeed banged the rock aswell...and couldn't believe my eyes how many fish there were
If i had a bit more money i would have done the PADI course (which Andy is on about) as it gives u a proper qualification
Maybe next year

Smit, Thrush, these are grey reef sharks, harmless to humans, in fact pretty scared of us most of the time, you have to find a spot and sit there waiting while they get used to you.
Scuba eqt costs min Ł500, then the sky's the limit (that's fins, jacket, regulators and gauges). Usually hire the tank and weights since they are too heavy to carry on an airplane. Don't get me started on underwater photography 'cos' that's loads more money to do it properly...
Most rent the equipment to be fair, it costs me around Ł120 a year to get it serviced which is more than rental for two weeks, but I have the knowledge that I know my gear and it suits me as I chose it.
Training with PADI (don't know about others) is 3-5 days after which you are pretty much free to dive with a partner who is also trained. Not allowed to dive on your own for safety reasons.
Again, once you have started training, the sky's the limit, there is soooo much to learn...

Matt - All the equipment/training was supplied as a 'All-in price'
when i went it was Ł37.50 for a 2/3 hours the first time... You did the safety thing on ya very 1st go! (after you've done this there is no need for more training unless u get under 10 meters!) You are taught how to use regulator etc/handsignals/getting water out of ya mask etc etc.
The maximum the instructors are allowed in a group is 4 (mine had me plus 1 every time) so the intructor was never far away
the pictures i have posted are from my 3rd dive of my holiday as the people i actually visited ayia napa with thought it would make a few good memories!
English Goon - find ya own ho's
Foriegn goon - Cheers
