i need to lower the comprestion any ideas
hi all
ive got a xr3i 1600
that im turboing at the moment
to just try a few things out.
i need to lower the compestion
i havnt got a set of rs pistons yet
as they are fucking hard to get hold of in
new zealand.
so what im wondering is there any other way to lower
the compretion ?
will consider any ideas at the moment
apart from skimming the pistons
thanks

I've heard before you can adjust the compression by bowling out the head(around the valve)creating more space?skimming the pistons works.

You can lower the compression this way but not by much, if your only after a temp solution till your pistons come i'd go two headgaskets.

its about 40 quid to skim the pistons and my local engineering place, so try yours possibly if you're taking the bottom end apart
