I just spoke to him and he says OIRO Ł10995.
I must Reiterate the fact that this car could go straight in a museum!!!
I will pop around to him at the weekend and take some more photos for anyone seriously interested.

I'd love to get my mitts on that and rag it thru a muddy, wet, cow-shite covered farmers field. It would feel so wrong yet so right
RST's were made to be thrashed, not stored like some pressed leaf.
All credit to the guy for not being tempted to take it out for a thrashing tho.

I have to agree, it is worth every penny!!
I think he has been realistic with the price and whoever buys it will have a good investment!!!!
The only reason for the sale is his house is undergoing major development work and he has worked his arse off for months doing overtime but it just swallows more and more money! He hasn't got a choice.
He has put this off for months now but has made the decision so be it.

The Black thing below the header tank is a horn, the series 1's had 1 either side unlike the series 2 where there were together, if i remeber correct, the blue leads were factory fit on S1's!!
Wish i had a spare 11k

how can such a standard engine bay be so appealing, makes me want to rip all my crome out and go back to standard.
That is one of the finest sights I've seen in a long time, i think it was paul in the Central RS group who had the ex museum 27K S1, felt like I had gone back in time just looking at it.
Cool car and worth every penny.

Thats exactly what I was thinking as well
Wow that's worth every pennie (compare with the money for a new Saxo or what ever
)
Priceless, to be honest; it would be nice if a museum like the Automotive Museum in Coventry brought it as that is as rare as they come, literally a brand new S1. Would be nice to have one preserved as Ford intended
Cant believe i've just said that but it is true!
I wouldn't want to own it as it is too good, and I would never end up driving it
Pure magic
He's had the car about ten years, he bought the car completely by chance, from what i can gather he turned up at this guys house to do some work and at the time he had another S1 anyway once the job was finnished the chap said oh i've got one of those(S1) I've had it from new but he said i don't get time to drive it much. Next time your down at your lock up i would love to have a look, said Dave(the guy who now owns the car).............Six months later Dave gets a call, I'm going to check the car say's the guy do you want to have a look
I want it said Dave, funny you should say that says the guy cos i was thinking of selling it................
