Default Ford Capri RS Turbo

My dream project is a ford capri mk3 1.6 cvh 132 bhp 8v rs turbo s1
I know it`s not the fastest car there is, but i don`t need to go fast, i love cruizing But i just like to have a car that no one else has. It will be different en sweat to look at.

The engine will come out of an S2 RST, and the wiringloom aswel
The front supension will i get from a capri 2.8i and the gearbox that i will use will be from a sierra mk2 1.8 ohc and the rear axle will be a 2.0 axle from a capri.

The outside will look like a standard Capri 1.6, or it will look like a capri turbo (wider body).

off course will the engine mounts and hoses be custom. The reasen for the sierra gearbox is because the engine comes to lay in the lenght of the car, and not sideways. Can anyone tell me witch gearbox from sierra ohc can handle the power? Can a 1.6, 1.8 of a 2.0 box hold it ?

there are 2 types of sierra box, the type 9 and the mt75. The mt75 is stronger but you'll need a different prop and mounts etc. The type 9 was fitted to some capris so is a straight swop. 132bhp will be fine with a type 9. It should bolt straight up as the bellhousing pattern should be the same, but you will probably need the clutch from a cvh sierra.

You will be better of using the V6 type 9 box, although you will have to change the bellhousing and shorten the shaft. The ratios on the V6 are better, and it is stronger.

You will also need the tank from 2.8i, fuel pump etc.
