What a great day we have had today. After 9 months, a trillion hours and a fair chunk of change Brom's car is ready for National day.
Spent the afternoon over at Karls getting it mapped and OH MY GOD the foooookin thing flys!!!!!
Karl did the driving (he only needed twenty cushions to be able to reach the pedals
) and I was on the laptop twiddleing the map as and when the boy Norris told me to.
We have capped the boost at 24psi due to Brom only having a standard T5 box in at the moment and Karl reckons with the spec of the engine and the size of the turbo etc, 24 psi is about all the box will handle.
We reckon that the car is well in excess of 500BHP even at only 24psi
Huge thanks to Karl for fitting us in at the eleventh hour and putting in a huge amount of time preparing the original map and then fine tuning it today.
Big thanks also to the ZOO Giraffes, Wayne, Tony, Pete and Mart for all the work they have put in over the months.
I have to say though a huge amount of credit must go to Brom for this car, there is NOTHING standard on it, everything is a one off, all of the suspension components, the engine install EVERYTHING was designed, built, fitted and fettled by the big man and the car runs faultlessly.
We have covered about 1000 miles now and we have not had any issues at all, so fair play to the boy for over engerneering the crap out of everything.
Saturday and Sunday are gonna be used to set the car up and for Brom to learn how to drive the thing. All I'll say is, stay out of the nutters way!!!!

This is one of my favourite cars out there, and having seen the work firsthand, I know exactly how over-engineered it is
Brom - just make sure you don't spend all day buftying it, ya poof - go and drive the fookin thing proper!

just drove the car home and omg puts ya old dinosuer t4 at the back of the pack
the car comes on boost around 4500 and goes to the limiter at 8500
sorry karl it just happened in 3rd
it just wants more and more i carnt belave it takes so much
carnt wait to get the box in and run it at 2.5 bar which karls says will be around 630 bhp then flick the noz and squirt another 180 bhp of gas in for good measure
am well pleased with the way the car drives
am going to have some fun on sunday
i got NOTHING to prove am learning the car so stay out my way lads incase i fly off the track
i got to learn the car from scratch no more abs no more shitty little brakes and no more shitty t4 power 8 injector power
its going to be a fun day

just need niggly problems to sort out none like a fuel tank sender and a rev counter that works

Brom has a viper box that he is waiting on a gear kit for. But at the end of the day it all comes down to money don't it.
