Default Paddle clutch pedal conversion probs...

i have been trying to follow heemans guide on changing the clutch system for the stronger set up ( http://www.fiestaturbo.com/forums/vi...c.php?t=127412 ) as my paddle has knackered the rear of the pedal and i now have no clutch pedal travel and its nearly impossible to select a gear and i have to start the car in gear all the time

So i tried to leave everything in the car and just remove the pedal......

But as the pic shows it clearly didn't work as there is no room whatsoever to do it like that so i removed the whole pedal box
Dunno how you did it heeman but you clearly have more patience than me!!!

Now i have these parts to fit....

And i have followed the microcat diagram and fitted them like this....

But if i rotate the quadrant the pawl just slips on the teeth which cant be good. The other thing too is the clutch cable bracket that bolts on to the end of the peddle box, is slightly different when its a manual adjust and so it gets in the way of the metal screw meaning the pedal wont move so i have had to angle grind a channel out of it for the metal screw as you can see so that when the pedal is depressed it does not hit the bracket......

I'm basically just not very confident.. I have the pedal box fully built now and looks like this...

But i don't see how the screw is actually going to work.
Am i right this is to adjust pedal height?? if so how as it seems to do bugger all.

Oh and should the clutch pedal have as much movement as the brake and accelerator as the clutch cable bracket still limits the movement of the pedal wen lifting it up.

Any help would be really appreciated!! Cheers Dave

I think Guzzler modified sassy's clutch pedal by welding on part of the escort pedal perhaps you could ask him for some pics

i think i may well have bottomed it out thanks to heeman and daverom from ft.com.

I had a spring missing and now the set up works as it should (i think) and feeling a lot better about re fitting it now!! YAY!
