had to use my recovery, and i've got a shit one that only recover 10miles, woulda been about 400quid to get recovered home!!!

Is it because you told them you weren't carrying a spare or maybe because it wasnt his car?

 

no spare wheel. patronising rude woman on phone said its illegal for them to help us and told us to get stuffed.


but, what about cars with no spare wheel (focus RS etc.) if they have a blowout then tyre foam is useless. i doubt the AA tell them its illegal for them to help!

shoulda removed all the relays from the fusebox and said it cut and and wouldnt restart, then they'd recover us "do you know your tyre's flat aswell mate?" "no, thanks for telling me"


greenlight were more than happy to help, and the recovery firm that came out (greenlight sub their work out) bent over backwards to get me on my way.

Jim you should have told the AA that your wheel had just fallen off and you had just gone to put the spare on and it was flat!!

Oh and the wheel that had fallen off had disapered miles away and you could not find it!

 

Didn't use the common sense approach then ? 'Might get a puncture, maybe I should keep a spare that works in the car'.......................

fooking AA i have written them a 'Nice' Letter telling em to get fooked and i think there service is appauling, ( like my spelling) and that my wife,who is 5 mths pregnant does not look for a spare wheel in every car she travels in! and that i want my money back.

Sorry to hear about the trouble Jim. Dont carry a spare either but will keep one tyre when buying a new set next time.

 

What are people putting in their spare wheel wells if they dont carry a spare? Its not even visable. If I am doing track stuff, I take it out at the track along with the jack.
