Newbie here: Pics of my 1989 S2 RS Turbo
Hi there, i recently found this forum whilst looking for an RS Turbo.
I was getting bored of my Escort Si and wanted something different (but another Ford). Ive owned 3 MK4 Escort's since passing my test (Two 3-door Hatchbacks and a 3-door Estate).
After much thinking, and searching E-bay and various websites i decided i fancied an RS Turbo.
I found myself a 1989 Escort RS Turbo.
It has the following spec:
Kent Cam,
190 chipped ECU,
K&N air filter,
Stage 2 Turbo,
PJ Motorsport Actuator,
Engine done 70,000 on Full Rebuild,
4 Paddle Clutch,
Red Dot 40 groove discs and pads,
DV26/S Bailey Dump-valve,
Full Magnex s/s Exhaust system,
AVO front coilovers and rear dampers,
Car re-sprayed 2 years ago in Radiant Red (same colour),
De-locked and Ford badge removed from bonnet and smoothed.
MOMO steering wheel.
90 spec interior / bodywork (apart from boot spoiler).
The car did have a GRS intercooler on it but the seller took it off and sold it seperately. :lemmings:
They put a standard intercooler back on it, so i'm looking for a larger one to replace it with.
Also got to get another radiator as the one on it has a slight weap.
And here is my new car below (all round shots)(photo's taken in the evening):








I'll post an engine bay shot at a later date cos it could do with a clean/polish.
