Default xr3i bleeding brakes

hi all
ive got a xr3i and need to bleed the brakes
disc front drum rear

ok
let me know if this is right
*rear wheels on the ground
*start with the drivers rear
*then passinger rear
*drivers front
*passenger front

why do the rear wheels have to be on the ground?
do i need the handbrake on or off?
and do i need the motor running?

hello mate , the rear wheels need to be on the ground for the rear loading valves to be open .
dont bother with an easy bleed get your mate to pump the pedal , easy bleed ( 1-man ) kits are ok for changing fluid but any major parts replaced they can be frustrating and dont work . handbrake off and no the car doesnt have to be running . start at the furthest 1 away and work closer
