hi just wondered if a 24v cozzy motor would go in my mk2 escort and how hard would it b to do. also wot gearbox would i use. just wondering because these engines r really cheap and 200bhp standard so i guess it would b canny quick.

 

it can be done i think there is a lad on here with one in a mk2 already
as for gearbox a capri2.8i box will fit

 

It can be done, but your car will not handle very well. You will have to make serious modifications to the front and rear suspension to make it half driveable.

Consider fitting a ZETEC instead, far better.

As said it can be done but if power is what you want forget it, as they are not exactly easily/cheaply tuneable, depends how much you want power wise.

Your are right in that.
If it is power you need an 16V cosworth engine.
But that´s been done lots of times. Not an 24V Cosworth engine.
