Hello mate
As you are the "Yoda" of Wrestling world on PassionFord i was wondering if you had heard anything of The Rock making an apperence at SummerSlam
Here is a Quote that Simon has just sent me, as he asked if i knew anything..
"However, in May 2006 in an interview on WWE.com Michael Cole asked The Rock if fans will see him on RAW or SmackDown in the near future. He answered as only The Rock can, “Just as sure as I whoop ass and have a million dollar smile! Don’t think I’m ever going away for good. I’ll show up when you least expect it!”

is summerslam a PPV?
havent watched wrestling for ages, since the rock left pretty much...
it pissed me off when they changed to the separate smackdown and raw and the wcw wankers came in...
im going to watch it i think... if the rock came back at summerslam, id be as excited as i was when i was 15!

yes, mainly t do films, he's got a huge fan base and, forgive me for stating the obvious, he's done fairly well for himself wouldn't you say 
but he still makes an apperance once in a while on wwe programming

ain't had time to see it yet but i had a huge pile of rock related stuff on one of the computers a while ago
thing is, he can earn more money being an actor and take less of a risk to his own well being than he would by staying on as a wrestler
but he's not been blihted by other wrestlers turned actors disasters such as hogan (who made a series of flops follwed by a tv series and is now star of his own reality show which has broken his marriage and seen his son done for being a twat), jessie had a good part in predator but nothing remotly as huge box office wise, you can forget all them wcw "stars" who made shit films, even goldberg tanked, i think his most popular film was the remake of the remake of the longest yard with adam snadler, and even then it was more to do with sandler being the start and having a whole host of celeb's in it (the great khali, dalip singh, is also in it, as well as bob sapp) and then you had, recently, a fairly mundane film with john cena as the star of "the marine", which was ok while he wasn't being the terminator and jason patrick was by far the start of the show, and most recently, stone cold steve austins outing in "the condemed" which almost bankrupt wwe films by posting a loss of $15,000,000, even though it had peole such as vinny jones in it and was one of the best films he's been in (i'm not forgetting kane in see no evil but that's not come across the pond and made any sort of impact)
compare that to rocks career which has seen him start of with the scorpion king and a hero, gay hitman in be cool (what a shit film that was), hometown lad in walking tall, do gooder in gridiron gang, anti hero in doom, horrible father in the game plan, ain't got roudnd to seeing southalnd tales as yet, but i'm sure he'll be good in that, as well as get smart as it's not out yet
and he's also in gi joe and i think he's playing the lead in spyhunter as well so quite a major movie star
