Default Anyone had their wisdom tooth out?

Hi guys i was supposed to have my wisdom tooth out today, but i cancelled it because i'm too scared

The tooths fully through, and i wondered if anyones had to have theirs out?

My bottom two are being cut out at the hospital, feel like diggin a big hole and hiding forever lol.

And do fillings hurt? do they use a needle??

<--- real tears

never had a wisdom tooth out, but usually you will be injected with novocaine to numb your gums.

last fillings i had were done with no injections!!!

Yep - all 4 at once

went to hospital & knocked out (best way IMO)

woke up after an hour or 2 & felt fine - no swelling or bruising
(well not on my face anyway )

I had a tooth taken out before with out the injection to numb it as i was more scared of the needle than the tooth being removed

best thing to do is to bite the bullet and get it over and done with..... it will only cause more pain in the future hun

Fillings dont hurt at all, its just the scratching of the tooth i dont like but thats not painful its just the sort of feeling you get when you run your nails along a blackboard.

I remember, in Uni, the screensaver on the Dentistry computers (one of the few labs that used to have spare computers, as long as you could get in there) was an animation of a wisdom tooth being removed......I never ever want to have that done, so I can agree with the above statement!

I had my two back ones out and two fillings done at the same time.

They said " it will bleed a bit " . I drove home with two bits of kitchen
roll stuffed each side of my mouth.. lol....

God when the anitbiotics wore off, I did not
move form the sofa for two days

Then it go infected and had to have some cottom wool soaked in antiseptic
pushed in the gaps

But it was my fault, i had not been to the dentist for nine years and thought
i will go when it hurts ! NOT A GOOD IDEA !!..

I go Every Six Months from now on !!!!

Good Luck...

Depends how they are coming through
they had to dig mine out as they had come through horizontally, instead of vertically. They knocked me out beforehand though

i got told i would need 2 weeks off work and thought great i'll be fine after a couple of days - went back to work with 2 black eyes still

I'm probably not helping things here am i

I've had 2 out in about 18 months!

I had one injection per tooth, my Dentist basically numbed the area in my mouth, then just twisted the tooth out, stopped the bleeding and I went back to work within half an hour!

No pain for either of them, I am Private though and it's definately worth it!

Missed that!

My little sister had this done too! Was off work for fookin ages and had to mouth wash with some rank salt water or something to keep her gums clean let the stitches heal up!

Fillings dont hurt, but with the air flowing into your mouth, it may make you dribble a bit

On a serious note though, it just feels like your pushing on a sweet tooth and a little bit of scratching on your tooth, but no needles
the only thing that hurts is your mouth after because you had to keep it open so wide for so long
