Default The Da Vinci Code - Anyone watched it?

After getting hold of a copy a couple of months ago, then promptly loosing it, I found it again yesterday so sat down to watch it.

Anyone else seen it? What did you think?

I read the book earlier this year and was intrigued, couldn´t put it down in fact, but when I watched the film I couldn´t help but keep remembering parts in the book to help me follow the plot.

Has anyone watched it that has NOT read the book, could you follow the plot ok? It just struck me that if I hadn´t read it before watching the film, the magic would be lost on me and I wouldn´t have had a scooby doo what was going on.

Ive read the book and thought it was pretty good. Havent seen the film and cant see it translating onto the big screen very well as its all about the dialogue and not big action scenes.

Have you read "Angels and Demons" i reckon that was much better than Da Vinchi Code

I´ve heard Angels & Demons is supposed to be good too, but in the back of the Da Vinci Code they had the first Chapter as a taster, and it put the story across as just another version of what i´d just read, just different setting, location etc..... However, if you´re telling me it´s better then I will go against gut instinct and try and get hold of a copy to read.

Its about religion and conspiracys so its the same in that way and its the same style but it is a totally different story . I thought it was much better than the Da Vinchi code and would make a much better film actually as there is more action in it. Its also got a very good twist at the end. Well worth a read IMHO
