hi this is my rs2k having a bit of work done before i get my licence back so it can go on the road again most of this work was done last year just needs finishing off now i will keep you all up to date with the pics.



















































as you might of noticed someone had dripped paint stripper over it hence the work on the spoiler and the roof currenty working on a starting problem but shuld all be finished for september

thanks for all the comments lads sorry mr XR3I 130 only just bought these voodoos so im not selling them yet i took me ages to get these 2 i think im keeping the car looking standard im not going to kit it up with wrc shit as its going to make it look like something its not i.e. cossy all im going to do is put those wheels on some mk6 mirrors and a laguna splitter and slighty tint the windows i.e. dark smoke on the back and light smoke on the front

 

Glad to hear it about the kit mate and yes i know how hard it is to get voo doo's hence why i don't have any yet,

Dark smoke tints alround would look sweet on your colour mate mine's done in dark smoke too check my resto thread out to see how it looks

That wrc front looks so good on your motor fit looks good aswell reckon with the voodos it would look good as there a mk6 going around my area with the wrc kit on and it dont look like a cossie just looks better then standard

but your car so up to you

 

i know what your saying mate i love the looks of the wrc i think i will keep it standard for a bit then when its been on the road a bit i might get the kit for it its just i dont see many std looking rs2000's so we will see watch this space thanks for the comment mate when my wheels are on i will put the pic to see what you think mate

 

I know what your saying nt that many standard rs2k but the guy around my area his car looks amazing he has voodos to but his car is red with white voodos, and i dont even like red your colour is a hundred times better

thanks mate i will keep you posted with my updates im just thinking when i went to sell my car in a year to get my cossy which will sell better a wrc rs2000 or a standard looking rs2000??? i just dont want to loose loads of cash on it

cheers mate good idea i think it will look better polished ive been working on the suspension this week i.e. lowering it 60mm then my voodoos will look nice i will get some pics this weekend to put up

sorry mate not got a back box only the one fitted to my car go on ebay mate they r cheep enough mine is a magnex 3" rolled in back box but took it to my mate who makes exhausts for bikes n cars n had him to chop off the 3" tailpipe and weld a 4" one on as magnex dont make a 4" backbox

Just a little update here is a couple of recent pics also getting my st170 brakes on this week gave them a clean on saturday morning

Just need to paint the calapers now and get them fitted im thinking painting them red

They will be fitted for the weekend and i will update my thread

Does anyone know what size u have to drill the hub i think its 15mm but not sure also do u used the st170 brake hoses or my rs2k ones

Ive found out it is 12mm mates just not sure bout the hose situation yet. Still not done the clutch but soon as i can paid i can then i will be coming over to see ya

Update on st170 brake conversion.

As u can see the disks where nackerd lol



This is the size differance:



Drilling the hubs out for the st bolts



The bolts are slightly longer but didnt need cutting down



Fitted and calipers painted




Need to get a nice set of drilled and groved disks with some goodridge hoses now hopefully there will be some at the donnington show on the 1st if i cant get any from there i will get some from santa pod im sure.

 

Little update befor she comes off the road for a new clutch to be fitted and steering rack

Right got my windows tinted not to dark but just right i think. Also got a Laguna splitter for Ł5 for the local scrappy



Then had to fit a new petrol tank It was a bastard of a job



What do u think? I will get some more pics up soon i will take them on a propa camera instead of my phone

Heres a new pic on how it stands now. Its been lowered on new shocks with gmax springs. Now its awaiting a clutch.

 

About time ya made a start on this again danny boy, Pintwork dont look bad to me so what are ya reasons for wanting a re spray??
