Idle propblems ... again.
I thought it was all sorted, but the car has gone back to idling funny.
Starting from cold all seems fine for a few mins, then the idle revs drop to approx 400 and will sit happy at that ... this doesnt always happen, but when it does happen I can hear the fuel pump from inside the car very clearly.
At night, my lights on the dash and headlights seem to be very dim, I can still see everything but if I take the revs above 2k (in any gear) the lights brighten up. If the car hasnt warmed up properly upto this point, then the revs drop to 400rpm and the fuel pump becomes very noisy.
When the car has warmed up, it sits at 600-800rpm, unless I slow the car down with gears, in which case it sits lower.
This has happened before, but a mate had a look at the metering unit and cleaned it all up (among other things) and the idle rpm's were spot on.
Something makes me think its the ecu as I read the one I have can cause running problems.
