I've got a 91' Escort cabriolt 1.6efi and i wanna get a few more bhp under the bonnet but i aint got a clue where to start.

Hello I think that you should put on a pipercross or k/n cone filter induction kit, magnacore leads blue or red But blue are for lower supression or the red ones are for turbo charged cars, splitfire plugs or bosh which you car would probobly run better off as you have bosh management system. 4 inch tail pipe scorpian exhaust. Put in a chip for your ECU system. You would then need to upgrade braking system from rear drum to disk conversion but you didn't say if you model had ABS. You might want to think about lowering it for more stability Bilstein or Koni adjustable suspension.
