First off where is it leaking from? if it's from the pipes that join to the reservior this is common so just replace with normal hose clamps.

If it's leaking from the rack gaiters then this is a bit more serious and don't expect much change from Ł300 at a garage as it needs a new rack.

the water pump is very easy to change takes about 30 mins max.
reove plasic cover fro front f engine on the battery end of the engine you will see the wp drive belt remove it then undo about 8 bolts from the pump cover drop pump down to floor.
to fit new pump lift it in from underneath tie some wire to it to lift it up is easier then redo the bolts up and refit belt and cover job jobbed, if you have trouble finding a metal pump partco sell them for 50 odd quid.

power steering pump is fairly easy aswell it's on the top of the engine opposite end to the w pump reome engine mounting first.
