iridiums are VERY prone to damage if you try and regap them.

was it missing on the old plugs?

 

missing ? nowt just 3 years old!

Quick solution would be to bang the old plugs back in and retry. As above the iridiums dont like to be messed with,they should be gapped correctly from factory.

 

Assuming the plugs are ok and after trying another set....

Check your AFR just before the missfire occurs ....

(not when its happening as this will show up as rich)


Dont know DTA in detail but can you adjust the coil dwell time ?

Cant read the text in that picture.

As you are running coil pack, the dwell time can be increased alot to
increase plug voltage. (this only works to a limit).

Do you know what the dwell time is at the RPM (not boost) that the
missfire happens at ?

 

no , it appears set on that settings page , but i do know dwell goes up and down as i can see it when in live mode on the laptop.

 

I would expect to see at least 6 to 8 milliseconds over 3500 rpm on a
coilpack. Try increasing the value if you can change it but you may
need to consult dta as values that are too large can burns the coils out.

 

For some reason I can read it now -
Try setting the dwell time (coil on time) to 6000 micro seconds
(that is 6 milliseconds)

 

or more likely the new plugs are wanked :P
