Who would be stupid enough to actually put their car on the rolling road at FF? last year they werent using a fan and we all know how much our cars suffer from heat, why would a magazine orientated event allow this to take place if they are enthusiasts????

i dont feel that a fan is sufficent or is it just me?

Them mobile one are never right anyway a waste of money..I remember a few years back a lad bung his rs 1800 on one at a show and he got 67bhp lol what the hell..The operator guy even said you got probs with that...
Little did he know that it had been tuned up and he had a graph of well over 140bhp..

How come you need a fan then? I know this is probably a stupid question but aside from the extra bit of power from the cooler air, why is it needed? Surely the cars don't get that hot doing a RR run?

Obviously I haven't a clue, but that's why I'm asking!

 

Your radiator only works with high velocity and volume air flowing through it Jay. A radiator is a heat exchanger.

The fins on your gearboxes and diffs etc are also there to dissipate heat into the airstream. 90% of rolling road fans are inadequate, including some of the bigger ones you see.

 

 

i would never put my car on one of them!
