We got some good enough times but annoyingly some cars failed to turn up without so much as a txt to let me know

 

Come on, spill the beans (by PM if you want!! LOL).

Would have been nice if my had been running.

Same thing Fast Ford did to several people when organising the fiesta thrash then? Told people they would be in touch to let them know if they would be running and then didn't bother.
Shame you got messed about.........

Would have loved to run mine [although I don't think the figures would have been anything to write home about ]

 

as said at the time of the thrash, i said ill let you know if you were running as you righly put. You werent running so i didnt call! Simple.

i have spoken to you before because you seemed very bitter about not being selected and you said you were cool and no need! ah well it all adds to the post count!

sorry mate but there was big demand for that thrash and i didnt want a car with a spec as basic as yours when i had others with 200+bhp beggin for a place, im sure its a great laugh on track but we both know it wouldnt have pulled fantastic times! You cant please all the people all the time can you! i wouldnt ring people to say they are'nt coming, id ring them to invite them!

And the Fiesta thrash there was a post on FT.COM with the confirmed poeple so i have no idea why it came as a shock that you werent there! Hope that FINALLY clears that up for you

I respect you guys for organising this kind of event. I imagine you get the whole world wanting places, but you have to sift through them whilst trying to keep everyone happy!

I think alot of people just see it as a free opportunity to rag their car on a runway!

Not a dig at anyone by the way!!

 

Thats it Christian, it can be stressful sometimes because eveyone wants a go and we want the cream of the crop, spaces can be filled when people drop out if i get notice and i always expect dropouts....we drive Fords after all . Just the occasional little public snipes wash over my back.

At the end of the day the above complaint is about me doing EXACTLY what i said i would do-

CALL IF SELECTED TO RUN!

I had a few of the lads off here who were good enough to let me know in advance and its sound when they do , these things happen. Modded Fords and heavy right feet mean people always drop out with mapping issues, gearbox worries, failed turbo's or simply of the road in the hunt for more power!

But as i say it just stops someone else getting the chance of a day at Brunters

Utter bollocks, you said in the PMs that you would get back to me, as I said I would need notice to get the car ready after it had been sat up etc. Indeed the car is of "basic" spec, but then you did state you wanted a wide range of cars, and that you would be interested in how a budget build would compare against others. I also pointed out the nitrous would be fitted, which would have made it interesting against the turbos. Maybe you should have said you wanted to do a thrash on high power cars only, I notice that most were outperformed by one of the N/A cars on the day, and that most of the times were actually slower than the ones mine has recorded, at a lower spec. I am not bitter as such, just pissed off that you don't get back to people when you say you will (and you really did), I am not the only person you guys (not saying you in person) have done this too. I didn't want a phone call, I pm would have been nice given you were discussing it over pm with me. Anyway, clearly we disagree so lets just leave it there, as I am sure neither of us wanna go back and forward with the same arguement.

 

sorry do have to add, in my case, via pm thats not what you agreed to do. You said you would let me know either way to give me notice.

One of the most frustrating things for the mags, is hosting an event like this, all the effort and time that goes in. then doing the write up and pics and putting it to press.


For the results to be on passion ford before the cars have even left Brunters...!!!!!!

After all the thrash is not for a jolly to let passion ford users know but a write up for the magazine.

Wait till the mag is out and the results will be there.!
