Hi Ppl

I've got a problem with my s2 charging and it's nearly mot time.
My battery light is on constantly it only goes off when the revs reach 5000rpm. i've replaced the alternator and earth wires. also the battery seems ok.
any ideas?

first thing to check is what voltage you have at th battery.

test the voltage when cars off, then try again when cars running.

you should get about 12v when cars off and about 13.5v when cars running

 

With the ignition off i get 12v on the battery. with the car running (from jump start) i get 11/12v. could i have the starter solinoid wired wrong?

it has 3 connections on the starter solinoid but how many are used?
