my moonstone saff has a t34 which is water cooled but the white one has a t34 which isn't. i am going to track the white one as well as use it on road should i make it water cooled or not????
As above,doesn't make much difference
When I had my T34 re-conned could only get hold of an oil cooled core, told by Danny that the water turns to steam as soon as it hits turbo anyway, because core is that hot and water supply to turbo is only small.
Supposed to help keep engine temps down not running cooling to turbo, only thing you need to do is let engine idle/cool down before switching off

Never run water through my T35 & never had a problem ! Took the water cooling off Alex ZVH cabrio's turbo too - all still good & Fayes aswell !
The Series 1 RS turbo didn't have a water cooled core from factory, reason it was introduced on the S2 & other turbo's like the Cossie was for warranty reasons.
The water jacket is there to warm the turbo up & get it to operating tempreture quicker, as what happened with the Series 1 was alot of people just jumped in em & ragged em from cold & fooked the turbo ! Hence alot of warranty claims for turbos !
It just super heats the coolent & is another place for a possible collent leak !
So as Danny said, forget it !
Mike why does the GT series need it so bad ? ?
Jb?

the GT's are roller bearings so run on a very thin layer of oil that is for lubrication only, no way good enough on its own for cooling the turbo, so as said, you MUST use the water cooling
