my mates want to go to thailand, i myself arent to sure.

can you tell me what its like for a lads holiday + where to go- maybe 6 of us.

most important how expensive will it cost in total with flights, vacination and spending cash? you have to pay for an injection as well for insect bites or something!

Thailand is a very cool place to go! i was over there the year before the Tsunami. I would have gone back by now, but will probably leave it another year now.

Depends what you want out of the holiday really. There is plenty to do ad see, but if you are just wanting to go for a beer it up type of holiday i think it will be a waste.... there is so much REALLY cool stuff to do and see!


flight prices are dependant on what time of year you go. from about november to april is dry season, but from end of feb till april it can be very hot. nov - jan is a bit cooler. flights are usually around the 500 mark though.


as for when you are out there. if you go for a couple of weeks and take a couple of grand with you..you will live like royalty

ko pan yang ( excuse the spelling ) is ace if u intend to go around the new year time for the full moon parties
I went last year to krabi with my m8's for a month, went mainly for the rock climbing but there were still loads of parties & fit women mainly aussies & kiwis plus loads of brits
ko phi phi is cool 2 tried some scuba diving while we were there
total cost for the month was about £1400 for the month inc flights & accomodation & all the spending money
food is stupidly cheap & fantastic

cheapest way to go is to just get the flights & stay in back packers hostels & chalets. negotiate the prices when u get there.

 

Plenty of cheap deals, my mates go mainly to buy cheap footy kits and sell em on, it pays for there trip big style too, i'm off to Bangkok in Dec en route to Australia for 3 nights, can't wait.

 

Was in Pattaya last year and Bangkok, its disgusting. Only went there as I needed somewhere close to Singapore for my free flights. We stayed in the Marriot on the beach.

Krabi is nicer if you want to go somewhere more scenic and Phuket is more tourist orientated.

Stayed in Bangkok as well at a place with a private boat accross the river and whilst the hotel was nice, Bangkok wasnt. Very smoggy.

We went to the markets in Bangkok for the CD's and DVD's as well as fake labels which was probably the best part of the holiday.

Was not impressed at all.

I went to Krabi last year and it was awesome-I am definately going back but this is not a lads holiday destination,you want the seedier side of Thailand , however as stated above I would maybe consider somewhere else if all you want is to do is lads stuff-which I assume is getting pissed and falling over, as there are so many cool things to see in this country that you will miss if you dont take the time to explore

Ive only just got back from a stag doo there last weekend. Its a dirty seedy country but for a lads weekend or stag doo its unreal. Cheap booze and gorgoeus woman
