Default Mk5 clutch pedal on mk4 !!!!!

Anyone know why this is rubbing on the steering column - fitted as per AP website but pedal seems to sit to high - anything i can do to rectify this ???

you adjust the nut/bolt to where you want the pedal to sit as it's no more self adjusting afaik?

Thanks guys will try again in morning - oh one more thing does a paddle clutch feel very on / off - i haven't got the car started yet but am abit concerned !!!!!

yea, it's basically an on/off feel with very little control over the mid point!

You'll find when setting off (if you dont stall) it'll vibrate the car a fair bit, will lessen as the clutch beds in (give it 1000 miles, prob wont totally dissapear), it's just the imperfections it picks up on the flywheel app. Also, you'll prob find you need to rev it allot higher when takin off, lift clutch up to get it rolling, then back down, rev it and lift it back up to take off. . find that's the best way, but have no real experienc ewith using a padle clutch

Any chance u know where the blue & 2 brown plugs go ? the one's at the back of the engine behind the inlet manfold .........

Be bugger if i can remember .......

blue - cold start valve
2 brown? hmm
one goes to thermo time switch, dunno bout another brown one tho, ive got an S1 so it'll prob be different (apart from tts and csv)

Thermo time switch !! is that the little bugger actually on the inlet manifold? the one facing the bulkhead?

yea, it's bolted into the inlet/injector sandwich plate/head towards the rad, sensor end facing the bulkhead!
so if your leaning over the engine from the front, it's bolted in towards you!
