Its a superchip and is very unlikely to be causing any hesitancy.

 

and the socket was probably fitted when the chip was changed

Have you changed the fuel filter?

Also, get a volt meter across the 2 fuel pump terminals and make sure you have a reading as close as possible to what you get at the battery with the car running.

Also get it to an MOT station and check the CO percentage...

 

Daz, no mate not yet. I am going to but i thought that with the prob being 3-4k all time then it wont be fuelling as that would happen all time????? Going to go and turn boost down quite a bit to see if that works. If so then i want a chip with no boost limit LOL!

Lee save all the hassle and time and possible wasted money, take it to somewhere like MSD, NMS etc get the whole set-up checked and re-setup if needed and see if the problem goes or if one of the excellent places above find the cause

 

When the turbo comes on boost it needs all the extra fuel it requires....a lot more than gently driving through it....hence why on boost enrichment is required....if it can't tget the fuel due to a blocked filter then it will hold back.

I have had this a few times on RSTs as well as other cars.

 

Cheers Daz. I am deffo going to change it this week. Ive not used the car since friday cos we been away for weekend. Deffo will change it, ive wound the actuator back 4 turns, so that should cure it if overboosting, if not then maybe it is fuelling.

Andy. It is going to go to one of those for setup, but i want to get it running ok now and take it when ive fitted a cossie cooler etc

Its called Lean stumble and most RST's have it/had it at some point in there life.

Any tuner worth there money can sort it for you- just needs more fuel as it comes on boost- which is what someone above me said- fitting a chip wouldn't have altered this just made it more obvious.

well .. it can still be an Ahmed Bayoo chip ...

when the eprom is programmed you need a sticker of some sort to block the sunlight to the eprom (which could ruin your eprom) ..
So the one making the eprom could have used a different sticker

if you need to know for sure.. you need to get the checksum of the eprom and call mister Bayoo

 

Its not an Eprom and theres no way Ahmed is going to shove a superchips sticker on one of his chips IMO
