Default S1 intercooler conundrum.....

Howdy

Has anybody using the pro alloy I/C & Rad setup (or similar) tried mounting their fans inbetween the cooler and rad?

Something im trying to do just now and i wondered if anybody would have already done it.

Any advice or pics would be a help

Thanks in advance

I had the Rad and side mount intercooler setup on my old
S2 and i really rate it!

The temp of the water never went past the M on the dial.

It was the best £330 i spent on a rad ever mate.

Will be getting one ASAP for my new S2.

Cheers matt

You got another S2 matt????

Get some pics up mate

Problem is though mate the front panels from s1- s2 are of course different and the equivelant kit that pro alloy do for the s2 actually comes like that so you dont need to cut as much, on the s1 you need to take away part of the front panel.

Now to do what i want to do the cooler has to come nearly 2 inches further away from the rad and slightly towards the drivers side o0f the car whilset cutting a recess for the pipework to sit in for the cooler.

Once i get my rad back from pro ill be knocking up some mounts and ill go from there

God knows itll prob end in tears
