Default Engine Conversion for MK4 Fiesta...

I have a mk4 fiesta which is currently only a 1.25, and nearing 20 i am wanting something with a bit more ooomff! Plus my engines nearing the end of its life, as its about to hit 95k on a V-reg, so i thought if ive gotta replace it, i may aswell uprate it while im there.

Its subtly kitted with uprated brakes and suspension so thats not an issue, just wondering what poeple can reccomend.

Ive been told ive got 4main choices..

A 1.6 zetec-s
A 1.7Puma zetec-se
A 1.6 FRST
A 2.0 zetec

Currently swaying towards either the 1.6zetec-s and then to turbo it....or for the 1.7 puma engine.

Ive been offered a FRST engine for next to nothing, anyone know how much effort it would be to fit?

Any help and advice would be appreciated!

Don't expect too much from the 1.7 Puma engine...

Go for the biggest Zetec you can get AND turbo it or leave the turbo or use the full FRST engine
