Parents house has a pretty big garden, and they want me to do them a bit of a waterfall type thing.

I'm good with electrics, so can sort all that, but don't know much else. Do you need a permanant water feed? I can pipe one down if needed. Defo don't want a pond - im thinking a combined water fall and fountain type thing....

My mums doesn't - it needs topping up occasionally, but has it has a built in pump which circulates the water around it so it's 'self sufficient' so to speak.

Build a pond mate far better

TBH ponds aren't that bad ! I've got a 1200 litre brick built job in mine and the biggest chore is feeding the greedy fecker fish 20 times a day ! You need to keep the pump clean and some of the treatments for the water etc aren't cheap but I love mine. It's lovely listening to the water and watching the fish etc.............really chills you out. Dos need maintenance yes, but worth it in my book

My mums feature was expensive, she paid about £600 IIRC........but it's a proper one if you get my drift

Think you just fill the reservoir up and it circulates the water it has, other wise it would just waste water Obviously needs checking and filling up accordingly
