Default Arghhh what to get, help.

Been looking into getting an Escort RS turbo. After ages of finding overpriced shitboxes and 80 spec ones.. I may get a Fiesta RS turbo.

What are the pro's and cons of each. Insurance is the same for both but the fiesta's are usually more expensive. Other than they run on EFI which is the better car to own in terms of reliability and actual fun/feedback/control/handling etc.

Cheers

Depends what you want mate. I think the RS Turbo (especially the Series 1) will always be a more popular and classic car than the Fiesta. To me the Fiesta was always a bit overpriced, but they are quite a nippy little thing. There's more you can do with regard to modifying the Turbo engine, it's personal choice I would say. There you go, totally unhelpful, next!

There will be a 90 spec G reg coming up very very soon, Engines had a couple of tweeks, chrome stuff under the bonnet, Bernie box fitted, looks stansard from outside, no price as yet though but will have 1 by next week.

I don't know.. I just don't see Escorts as an expensive car to buy. I was wanting to pay around £3k for one. Stretching a bit more for a fiesta.

I reckon 3k should get you a pretty smart S2. Far better than an FRST but thats only my opinion!

I had a fez turbo, really liked it. Would imagine you will get more for your money on an S2 though.
