Im looking for a 1st car and in my search i have found this Ford Escort not sure what Mk

So i have a few questions: -

What Mk is it?
What problems(if any) should i be looking for?

Im not sure on any questions so if any of you want to add anything then that would be great

It's a Mk5

Look for rust, EVERYWHERE especially around the rear arches although they're not as important as the sills....

BUT it says it has 12 months MOT and for Ł425 that's a years worth of cheap motoring

Engines on those are fairly reliable, also look out for bottom arms on the suspension, listen to it as you pull away in a straight line or steering slightly, if there's a clunk they may need replacing.

Not tremendously expensive to fix though so not the end of the world

 

its a mk5b its a facelift version to the mk5 looks a neat and tidy car 1 previous owner etc....

 

danrs2k is it the same as the one in your signature?

Should be going to look at this tomorrow

 

no mines a mk5 the backend will be different to urs if u get it and urs will have an oval grill
