Default Can I just...

By- Pass the water feed to my turbo so the water doesn't "cool" the turbo down? Is it safe to do, and what could I use to bung the hoses? It is a T34 if that makes the slightest bit of difference.

Thanks

yes mate, u can - you just need to cool her down for longer after a blast. I'd use a bolt and some sealer to block off feeds.

Thanks Rick. I have a Turbo Cooler, so I'll probably want to keep that plumbed in. I'll have to get some decent hose and join the ends together somehow. I'm sure I have some Aeroquip hose laying about somewhere I can use just to test a few things out.

Why do people want to take their water cooling off? It makes a negligable difference to the water temps.

Tony, just do what I suggested before. Remember?

the turbo was designed by its manufacturer to be watercooled and could therefore void any warrenty by bypassing it.
also the water temps may be slightly lower but the the temp of the turbo will increase.

Christian, i've not tried it myself, but apparently the water system is less strained without it - but how much? Some people say a lot?
