same as me to get it to flutter louder you need to go to efi mate, for some reason efi i so much louder. i take it you have no dump valve cause that will stop the flutter plus a big ass induction kit will help. the noise itself is the air from your turbo forcing its way back through your induction kit hense why a dump valve is not good for the noise. wish tehre was a cheaper way thou there was a fiesta trb at engine advantages when i was getting a set up and that flutterd fukin loud!!!!!

mine chatters like a monkey on crack (or however the saying goes!)

your ERST wont do it mate, and if it does it will be v.quiet.
as said, you need efi

the correct name is compressor stall, most peeps call it chatter. it is caused by the back pressure created when the throttle butterfly closes while on boost(changing gear, backing off) this back pressure stalls the compressor wheel. MFI will chatter but nowhere near as loud as EFI because the metering head muffles the sound.

or rather the AFM, below the metering unit muffles the sound

A management swap for increased performance is one thing but changing it for a noise is a bit grim

Saying that though it's one thing that does make me grin like a child iwhen I'm in my Fiesta

You don't need EFi for power mate. I'm still on KE Jetronic and mines reasonably nippy

There's no denying you've got good power mate, i'm on very moderate boost and could run alot more than i am, front mounts going on and the next issue is fuel i dont want a car running silly boost and blowing up every week been there done that lol. i'm a traditionalist and will never stray from the 1600, just want a very quick car with a fair amount of reliability
