10 - 12 K for what is essentially a std car with ap's a T34 and a set of greys?

Surely thats over optimistic or is the engine and transmission proper high spec items?

Gus why would you want a standered escort cos when you got a sorted saff.Your only going to have to spend ŁŁŁŁŁ again to have it how you wanted.

save yer money up and get one next year or something then you could keep all your good bits from the saff and fit them to the escort

Because thats what most of us do when we sell our cars.

Needs the mods on the car to sell it better.

then we start all over again.

what the point in buying everything again you already got (alloys brakes etc.. even them sinny bits all add up

imo i would save up a bit more for the car i wanted to buy 1st. then sale the car standerd and fit all your bits to it.

Or buy one thats got all the bits already on instead of buying a standard one KNOWING you will want to modify it.

Sapphs drive much better than Escos.

I've had both and I don't regret selling the escort one bit.

Too expensive to buy (MIne was Ł8.5K)
Can't leave them anywhere for fear of damage
don't feel as stable at speed
feel confined inside

I was just not impressed.

Keep the sapph, you have the same running gear in a nicer driving shell.

Gus
Just my opinion ,,, Put the car back to std , as 4x4 saffs in that colour are rare and it will fetch good money on its own ,, then either keep the goodies for the escort or sell then on for good money ,,,
Best of luck ,Paul

gus i thought you had been offered the atkins diet till i read all the replys

i prefer saphs over escorts but hey that is me

if you ve(your mum has) got twenty grand in a 4x4 saph then you have a lot more in an escort, theres not a lot of difference in a 4x4 saph to an escort other than cosmetic ones
betterthe devil you now
