For reasons out of my, Dave's and Nick's control - we are 'only' gonna be able to bring Stian's Escort Cossie (this months cover car) and a mega wild Mk1 Escort over to National Day... I've killed myseld trying to sort this all out and like I have said, restrictions have been imposed on me that are out of my control. So, I apologise to everyone for not bringing the four as advertised in the mag. Just thought it'd be rude not to tell you guys before you rush over to the stand.
Should still be a great day, and a massive thanks to Dave Easton and indeed all at the RSOC for all their help with this one.

I saw the MK1 Escort this Saturday on a Ford track day at Rudskogen and it is really stunning.. It runs quite well too..

About the WRC Escos.. well, you just have to see it in action.. the driver is absolutely up to the task managing all the power
I have noticed that some on this board have been trying to put it down, ex the clear rear lenses, the exhaust etc...
I don't really think you will notice the clear lenses
And the exhaust is WRCstyle and actually cool.. i like that better than (my own) 4" mongoosestyle now..

Still should be a top day, and hope the escort wrc does make it out on sunday as well as the mark 1. Not helping out this year for once as i would like to see the show this year!! look forward to seeing all the action

Hi all, Rhys you have pretty much hit the nail on the head there mate, but it's not even as simple as that we all have, and in particular Ben has, been trying our hardest to sort this out and in the end it's only down to Ben that we have the two coming over and not less!!!

Rest assured the track time is still as before, so both cars will be going out on track. Seeing Stian's WRC car go round Donington will be reason enough to attend I can assure you!

Next time, take the timing gear to Norway and at least get some lower speed figures (0-60, 0-100, standing quarter etc ) for these animals - in fact, while they are over here, get the cars down to Brunters and get some full figures on both .

We have Mike It's just under the conditions, up hill, wet tyres in the dry, and me in the car as well etc isn't really a level playing field to show what the car can ultimately do, even in those conditions though it managed BALLISTIC times!

The 60 time was quicker than Mr Hadlands best recorded time to date though as an indication, and without doubt it WILL be quicker without me in, the correct tyres for conditions, flat surface etc.
