can anybody help identify paint code la cant find a match

 

call fords mate, if its red, there are a fair few, then the vary of shades

prob best off taking the car somewhere and getting a match done there TBH

 

been to several paint stores and cant get a match anywhere, its a lighter shade of mercury, ive been told that it might even be a limited edition colour, anybody got a workshop manual it should specify paint codes in there cheers

 

You are looking in the wrong box mate - thats the interior trim code for a fes Turbo.

Wot code is in the box above it.

Wot car is it on as I just presumed its a FRST.

box above is a number 4 and the box above that is a letter h
the car is a 1991 h reg frst if that helps

 

Hi Dake I bet you have a chassis no starting VS6?

If you do look right at the bottom of the plate there in the middle should be
2 digits.

The first one will possibly be a Q and the second a number 1 or 0 ?

Q is Mercury Grey but has it faded over the years or been painted in a near as dammit colour.
It has been said tho that once you have the basic paint code Ford have swatches for the exact colour.
