wheel wobble at 60mph, what would cause this?

Default wheel wobble at 60mph, what would cause this?

looking at a cossie on Sat, and the only thing (possibly wrong mechanically) is i have been told it has wheel wobble at about 60mph, is this a common thing on cossies? and any ideas on things to check please? how do i check the CV joints btw?

Could be a worn bushes, egg on the inside of tyre, Wheel weight fell off.

Could be loads of things, hub knackered, deformed tyre, bent wheel, inner or outer cv joint, bent driveshaft, warped brake disc.....to eliminate a bent wheel, sawp it round and see if the wobble moves with it first

more than likely to be the discs
but while you are swapping wheels baout, make sure you don't have a sticky caliper which might heat up the disc and cause it to wobble

the ultimate one is to buy new hubs and fit them but bushes and everything else first

is it possible to spot a bent driveshaft? or fucked CV? as i will be looking at the car on sat,

bent shafts can appear to be straight unless you are spinning them
some cars used to have a harmonic balancer on the drivesjafts but the sierra ones are only about 20 inches long max so it's not a quesiton of them

Had this a few months back, took the car in to get the balancing checked and there was a huge egg in one front tyre. only started to wobble at about 60+.

Could of been naughty.
