A player picks the ball up and refuses to give it to the other team... You get a card. Why does the portugese guy here think that was a harsh call? Thats the sorta thing you did at school!

most if not all were yellow cards....some of them were straight reds....especially the one on ronaldo.
cant blame the ref for not having control...these two teams were a disgrace to the competition.....lets hope that figo also gets found out for head butting behind the refs back and gets a ban.

All warrented cards, but it just got silly, deco holding the ball etc..
Without giving it the "england are shite" talk again, i honestly, 100% think that if england play as they did yesterday, then when they face portugal, they will be embarrased.
England, on paper, have on of the best sides in the world, but all the games they have played so far, they have scraped through in my opinion.

What would you suggest the ref did... sent them all back to the dressing room for 20 mins to 'cool off' ?

These people are meant to be professional footballers.. they should have behaved in a professional manner, unfortunately in a situation like last night there is very little the ref can do other than penalise the players or abandon the game.

FIFA cant take any action against figo because the ref gave him a yellow card for it (even though he never saw it

They cant punish him for the same offence twice, if the ref hadnt of dished out a yellow, which he shouldnt because he didnt see it, then FIFA could have banned him through TV evidence.
Was a complete farce, the ref was a joke, its alright saying he couldnt of done anything, but most of the challenges werent booking offences, he made a rod for his own back by booking players at the start for silly fouls, which meant he had to carry on like that throughout the rest of the match, most of the tackles were dives anyway, the dutch were embarrasing
England stand a good chance against portugal, deco was the key to everything they did, now he's out they will struggle to create. 3-1 england I reckon

As above, can only be good for us. Kind of disappointing though because by winning the World Cup it's meant to prove you're the best. Hard to claim if you got it by beating under strength sides
