For starters a good condition engine - Chip - Air filter - T3 - -31 acuator - Stainless - Front Mount Cooler or uprated - Uprated fuel pump - Beige injectors, good plugs and leads and you will then need a decent clutch and go for a escort turbo box.

Thast would be an excellent start

Is it worth just going straight to cossy management instead of faffing around with fez ?

Nope,

If your going to faff about and have the expense of a new management system you might as well get brand new up to date kit. Cossie management conversions are rapidly becoming old hat now the cost of new kit is coming down.

My brothers FRST and my own are 200bhp cars and both are still on stock management with chips. In fact my bro's was set up this morning and gave a safe 211bhp

What the boost mod ?

Has anyone got a full 200bhp kit for sale ie chipped ecu injectors etc. I would just rather buy it all in one than get bits here n there.

Ive just been looking on ebay for second hand goodies. So basicly is it just the injectors and chip i need ? Is it all plug and play or must it be setup ?

Cheers

im just learning btw bare with me lol

It takes the feed for the actuator straight from the charge carrier rather than from the turbo housing so it holds better rather than peaking and then tailing off. My bro's boost is really sweet. Winds up to 21psi falls back to 19psi and then just hold it

Once fitted you will need to get it all checked to make sure all is well. It's highly adviseable to get the fuel pump changed as well though.

Cool, so not that much hassle to hit the magic number

If i budget say Ł300 all in that should cover the bits and a little setup ?

Get an intercooler... there is no way round it...

Also... older and wiser people have always told me to buy injectors new... i'd listen to them x

200 is possible on the stock intercooler as I did it but it was in October last year and the ambient temps were low. It would have been a recipe for a dead engine in the summer months.

I got my injectors second hand but only as I knewand trusted the source.

Second hand chips are such an unknown. Unless you can be sure of the seller/item I would buy a new one. Seen so many people unaware that there are two different types of management on the FRST

So here you have it a standard block and head, this is the advise and step i would take:

1) new plugs, leads, oil & filter, fuel filter and injector cleaner.

2) Book the car in for a tune on the rollers to find out the condition of the motor, if the engine has a good bill of health then modify as theres no point tuning a worn engine as increasing the boost pressure only increases engine work which can excelerate detonation.

3) purchase a stage one clutch at least

4) purchase a front mount cooler (they don't come around often for fiestas second hand, GRS Ł315 NEW)

5) If you buy second hand make sure the chip you get is correct as steve said above there are different types, and if you buy second hand injectors it may be worth getting them ultrasonically cleaned and tested as a bad injector can mean detination, then purchase a escort cosworth fuel pump, they are on ebay brand new for about Ł80.

6) Back on the rollers for a set up and then you may see the magic number safely, don't rush and cut corners it only ends in tears as we have all been there before.

Good luck and keep us posted

yeh they seem quite easy to tune, i got the T3 chip set up Im not bothering with the beige injectors, but I will get 200bhp im sure at some point. how do i know if its got the -21 acutator wat the hell does it look like?
Also ive heard the standard intercooler will only do for 12psi be warned!
Aparantly i got 3 cylinders with 125 and one with just 100 im told it might just be a sticky valve any ideas?
