How much is stuff the car needs and how much is stuff you fancy?

To be honest I wouldn't fanny about with delocking as the toe rags will just bend th etop of the door back instead. Disconnect the door lock rod from the barral and leave it in place. Hopefully the scum will attack the lock first and set the alarm off and then have to rethink whil eth ealarm is screaming

look at what ive been doing to my frst, ive rebuilt the engine fully and with the boring, new pistons etc etc its cost me over 1k just for that, and i sold a fully working FRST lump for £175 not long ago as i didnt wanna use it, i wanted a fresh new rebuilt lump.
but then again thats me and i dont plan on selling my car for a long time so its money well spent to me and my cars in to me for 15k plus and ive only had it 8 years

so at the end of the day you got to look at what YOU want, if you have the money to spend and you plan to keep the car for a while its worth going for.
but remember, not all s/h car are what they seem to be so you could go from bad to worse.

oh and 2k for that little lot you want done, well over the top!!

what ever money you spend on a car, you not really gunna get back as such.
also if you/anyone had there car written off tomorrow would they get back all they spent on it,......nope, so do what you feel is right.

some of the work is just what i want to be done but the rest is what the car will need. plus some of the rust will hinder my chance to sell the car on. think i kinda know what ii want to do just wondered what others would do.

cheers

i would do it, but i would find somewhere a lot cheaper than that, maybe its just me but 2k sounds over the top to me, even if i couldnt do the work/most of the work my self the tops that little lot would cost would be about 1k

i'd go for it, you'll easily get that money back with a FRST, they sell for silly money
