V6 mondeo handbrake
Hi folks, could anyone help/advise me. I've just bought a very straight '95 Mondeo V6 with 90,000 miles and full service history. The handbrake only travels a maximum of 2 notches with very little resistance at the wheels. I think it might be the linkage seized up. Any thoughts of how to sort this. Also the plastic beam deflectors in the headlamps have got the usual discolouration, Ford want £23 plus vat for the drivers side and £18 plus vat for the passenger side. Does anyone know where you can get these from any cheaper or do any of the models have the glass lense with the beam deflector inbuilt
Many thanks

re the headlight problem you got 2 choices:
1. pay ford and buy a new set of deflectors
2. Source your self a set of headlights from late late mk1 mondeo (P reg) - these changed specification and dont use the plastic deflector

Cheers for Mondeo org link, have already posted same question on there. Thanks for info about P reg headlights that is what I wanted to hear that they had done away with the plastic covers.
