Default Spraying alloys. powder coating or spraypaint

I want to get my Alloys sprayed or powder coated, but dont know which is better really, i was thinking of doing em my self, but figure powder coating should be more hard wearing,
how many peeps have sprayed their own alloys and have you noticed the paint faiding or flaking etc?

I spoke to a guy last night at the Guildford cruise, he works for wicked wheels and says he can refurb and spray wheels for about £45 a corner.

I think for the hassle involved it's probably worth getting them done m8??

the problem with powder coating is when they chip water gets underneath the powder and can cause you problems with the tyres sealing on the rim.... i had this with my old RL7's, what i had to do was remove the tyres and remove all the old flakey shit to get thye tyres to seal properly

yellow pages is ya best bet
if you get them blasted ask them to go over the face with a fine
media after the rough stuff
will leave a smoother finish and make it easyer to paint
