You should only have 5 wires to connect mate...

Red/Blue needs a fused battery live feed.
Black/Red is the feed to the fuel pump.
Black is an ignition live.

There are then 2 green wires IIRC and those are for the coolant temperature guage and the oil pressure warning lamp. I can't remember which way round they are but if you look at the wires at the plug ends, you will be able to determine which is which.

 

one of the greens is a rev counter and i thought 2 of the blacks were earth but may be wrong on the earth side.
