There were 2 categories for Show & Shine, Standard & Modified.

Within standard, mods like wheels, and engine conversions were included, and Modified took all the ones with aftermarket bodykits etc

Why does anyone do anything to any car? Because they want to!

Ok, not to my taste either, but the quality of work on all the cars was very high.

Yeah, since RS' are the be all and end all of cars...

Why not get one of them? Because the insurance will be cheaper on these modded cars, than on a standard RS, and these guys don't wanna go at warp speed, they built there cars to get noticed and cruise around (ie, NOT boy racers, actual modded car enthusiasts)

On the cars at the show, there were stickers of the bodyshops who done them, so yes, they did get a mention, not from me, but at the show, yes.

 

I don't like the daft big bodykits either, but i can appreciate the time and money thats gone into gettin them like that.

C'mon. You have to admit that some of those cars were no bad. The Jetta? The EVOs? The LAMBO!!

I do agree that the plastic fantastics were shit...

 

The Plastic Fantastic's weren't to my taste, but at least these guys had actually put an effort into getting something done with their cars, instead of the usual go into the shop and buy any old shite thats just lying around that was within their budget.

Then the VW's that were there were very nice.

The Evo's were nice, not my taste, but nice cars.

 

Mk1 Dub is EASILY the nicest car there
