The 2wd saff one is obviously ally and offset but the 3 door one is made of pressed steel and the bolts holes are even both sides!
spadge, if your tunnel has been converted to clear the transfer box the 3 door x member will mount where the bulge in the tunnel is.....you will prob need to make /weld a bracket to the shell...i had to do that when i converted a mk1 xr 4x4 to run 2wd cossie running gear HTH

The drivers side channel where the bolts come from is still there at the rearward end Kev and i believe that is where the cross member locates! Maybe on the one you had this was not the case as it had never been 2wd??

Kev here is a pic of a 3 door crossmember if you look at the left hand side where the bolts are for the crossmember you will see the remainder of the channel at the front! This is where my bulge is and not where the bolts are

Fortunatly my bulge stops just where that cross member starts so it was either planned that way when it was converted or i am just lucky

I can't see any other way around it mate?
I have a 2wd shell out here if you want to come and rob anything from it with a grinder!
I can't even see where the 4x4 one bolted up on yours on the 1 side???

I have a fair idea of what a 2wd one should look like, and I think mine looks like a 4x4 should.............just wondering how I combine the two - lol
