What was your best time at USC anyone beat there personal best?It was my first time at santa pod in the my series 1 and I ran a 15.3 at 88mph and i'm only running 11 psi on a standard intercooler so i'm well happy with that? So what did everyone else get??

 

Didnt run but I got sunburnt

 

didn't run either, me m8 got a 13.915 on his first ever run in his M3 saloon

he was up against a M3 evo coupe and beat him (needless to say the bloke in the evo was pissed)

infact noone in my mates class beat him all weekend so he got a trophy for it tonight

wilson did a 14.1 but he said his clutch is fucked now

oh and chris with the 300zx did a 14.3

 

Wils's clutch has been on its way out for a while, suprised he ran.

 

yup he said about 2 months

but every M3 evo we seen run was still slower than clarky

the fastest M3 evo we saw was 13.967 so not alot in it, but the 3.0 saloon was still the winner

He was well happy with that

 

best run? I had one of those fajita chicken things from one of the stalls..... so have to see what happens with respect to runs.... no news to report yet mind!!

Split arse managed a 13.8 on her first ever drive of the car!!

Good weekend she nearly took X class fastest but got side tracked by her mate TIB in the other lane, hit limiter and missed a gear . Stil managed a 14.0

Really wanted to run mine but bust my water pump gettin there ( just past chorley ) And its running to much boost as it aint set up and hits the limit

Oli managed a 13.6@114mph in the S1 which is'nt bad considering its his first outing in the car for 3 years!!! More to come as we develop the car.

 

it looked nice, it sounded nice and it went nice!!.... well impressed with it.

it looked effortless to pull those times so thats saying something!!

 

Hi Karl oli's looked/sounded awesome mate got the same time and terminal speed as sid I had some probs with gearbox it just wouldn't let me change fast at all and my starts were pretty poor should be getting low 13's with 110 terminals with my spec surely?? maybe next time

 

Keith, I'd have expect at least 110mph terminals but more like 115mph to be fair. Once you've got everything sorted see how you get on, and if its still not quick enough then I can remap your car to make it less conservative. (i.e. when we mapped it last time I edged on the side of reliability rather than outright power)

Yeah karl, think u should re-map mine to fix the fact i can't change gear, might make my terminal's higher as all the know all's on here are thinking its mapped wrong.....LOL....

Mate got 12.1 @ 120mph. Crap start on both runs couldn't get traction.

I got 15.2 @ 95mph in the S1.

Last run saw a 15.3 while hitting the limiter in 3rd (was watching a carrier bag and not my rev counter lol) so i would have got in the 14's at last

Next time i wont run on 14 year old tyres

 

My mates m3 evo got terminals of 98/99 mph i think!

It was his first time ever launching it so he didnt do bad,First run saw a 16 somthing with lots of wheelspin then on the secon go he did a 14.1 followed by a 14.7.

 

I'm very happy with the way it is mate and think you've done an amazing job,drives alot better,has better fuel economy etc etc.... I think i'll keep it the way it is and just get a decent gearbox.....lol. Besides i'm not really bothered about proving it on the qtr i did it for a bit of fun and to see if i can beat my previous of 13.6 @ 108 which was done at pod running 300bhp

I got an extremeley ghey 15.5 in my 2.0 fez.
I think the prob is the gearbox ratios as I'm using an IB5 box for a 1.8 LX Escort.
Just wondered how pwoples speeds compare at 1/8 mile then 1/4 mile

my slips show 71 mph at 1/4 mile and then only 89.82 at 1/4 mile just wondered what other people have?

 

i ran 4 13.8's at 102-104mph in my tt, my bro done 12.9 in his pulser.
81-2mph @ 1/8 and 102-4@1/4

 

that just takes the piss. reckon pete slipped the timing operators 20 quid and said dont let this cooont get 12's
