sadly mate there isnt very much power to be gained from the 1.6 zetec, the valves are just too small to flow the volume of air needed to get big power figures sadly and the valve seats cant be enlarged enough to take bigger valves.

Scrap that engine, buy a mondeo 2.0 lump and turbo it. But on £1500 you won't get anywhere really lol.

As said to you on other topics call Ian Howell at Area Six and have a chat, if he laughs you off the phone its time for a rethink

2.0 zetec mondy, 3-400 quid max, break/sell donor and your 1.6 lump. make most of that back then get a mappable fuel/ignition system and NOS, if any money left i suppose cams etc... plus the obligatory zorst and filter. or, if you're not doing all the work yourself. pay somebody to swap the lumps and youre skinted. lol.

remember you'll need to upgrade brakes drastically though!
